The purpose of this listing is to assist those who wish to use original PRR documents in their research.

PRRT&HS Archives

Large collection of original PRR documents, drawings and some valuation sections at Lewistown, PA. There are no employee or personnel records at this location. Please do not request PRR related technical information at this time as the collection is not yet cataloged and the site is not open for research visits. Collection is currently being inventoried and cataloged. Volunteers are needed to assist in this effort. For additional information about volunteering only contact Station and Archive Chairman Robert L. Johnson at bobjohnson@alltel.net.
Reproductions (from microfilm) of PRR Freight Car Arrangement and Lettering Drawings are available.

Very large collection of original PRR documents with a comprehensive multi-volume document finding aid. Also a good collection of PRR photographs. Researchers wishing to use the collections are encouraged to discuss their research projects with a staff member prior to visiting.
