Sunday morning, 8:00, the lettering arrangement and custom vinyl decals are laid out.
The PRR decal was applied in layers. The keystone background was the first in the application.   This was not a simple task.  I watched as all measurements were checked and rechecked.
The PRR insignia and the gold border were then applied over top the keystone background.
Finished keystone.
Stainless steel kick plates to be applied at all side ladder locations.  Conrail had replaced the originals.
Engineman's side, number arrangement and builders plate.
Kick plate application.  All thread locations had to be tapped.
More threads to be tapped.
All stainless was brushed to tone down the polished finish.
Juniata painter J. Hillman applying seam filler.
All car body seams were filled and sealed.  This is in preparation to the final primer application.
