Photos detail the roof being masked, trucks and undercarriage paint, and pilot in primer.

 Looking closely at the photo, the gray primered areas appears to have a black shadow.  The shadow is actually a sanding coat.  The car body is lightly sanded (remove the sanding coat) so as to not remove all the primer or cut the primer to thin.
